It is an AMAZING, peaceful place ... Yellowstone National Park; America's first "giant peace space," set aside in 1872 by our nation to preserve a unique eco-system of wildlife, vegetation and volcanic activity, including more than half of the world's geothermal structures (stuff like big geysers and hot springs). You can see an example above of what I mean in Patsy's photo of Grand Prismatic Springs.

By peace space, I mean a place designated as space where a sort of natural harmony can unfold -- even if that means half-burned trees, hot lava air blowing in the air and bisons and people trying to negotiate roadways.

We saw Old Faithful Geyser ... of course! But it is just the tip of the iceberg in this expanse of more than two million acres located primarily in Wyoming but also Montana and Idaho.

You can see some of Patsy Ferrell's inspiring photos in the multimedia section of this website ; she took nearly 2,000 photos but you'll only get to see about a dozen for now!

Peace from Yellowstone National Park,

Jerry and Patsy
